Characteristics and evaluation of coastal erosion vulnerability of typical coast on Hainan Island

Coastal erosion vulnerability assessment is widely used to assess the loss degree of coastal zone caused by erosion, and plays an important role in natural resources protection, planning, management decision-making. Based on social characteristics east coast Qiongdong index (CVI) method, this study selected 8 indicators, such as shoreline change rate (U1). The Delphi method entropy weight were calculate comprehensive weight, combined with CVI geographic information system (GIS) technology, quantitatively evaluate temporal spatial distribution typical coral reefs Hainan Island. area was divided into 5 grades: very low (31%), (10%), moderate (28%), high (24%) (7%), overall performance vulnerability. research showed that interannual downward beach (U3) isobath (U2) main controlling factors affecting area, dynamic factor had a greater impact than other two factors. As barrier, good wave absorption energy reduction, reef coasts vulnerability, due complex hydrodynamic characteristics, estuary most vulnerable areas. verification results ROC-AUC accuracy 68.9%, which provided reference for ecological restoration tropical biological development zone.
